One Year - and a little more

So, I survived the first year with twins!  WOOT!  And, I can actually say that I have loved it, and even remember (most) of it.  Not that there weren't challenging times, but I guess, its easier and more fun to remember the good one!  I talk to a lot of twin moms and they all say that they don't remember those first 6ish months!  While I don't miss those sleepless nights, I'm so thankful for a co-parenting husband who woke up every single night with me, and even today, is often the one that still gets up.

I'm getting excited for the Holidays!  Today is Thanksgiving, and Ryan is at work.  :(  So, instead of being sad by that fact that I don't get to celebrate with my husband, we are just simply celebrating a day late!  Turkey is thawing, green bean casserole is prepped, pumpkin pie is sitting in the fridge, boys are napping, and I'm typing!  BUT, I am headed to a friends for Thanksgiving with the boys!  We will be joining her family, including her 6 month old little girl.  SO FUN!

Well, boys woke up!  Picture soon!

Cheers!

I have Twins

I HAVE TWINS!  Wow!!!

Yes, I talk about it a lot, and its pretty obvious when you see me walking around town or the grocery store, but sometimes I still cannot believe it.  They are almost 6 months old, and as far as child rearing is concerned, I don't know any different.  And yet, I still have to remind myself, and sit in awe of the fact that I have not just 1, but 2 precious little babies!

My life has changed soo much over the last year.  I went from being a "young couple" and first time homeowner, to being HUGELY pregnant, to an instant family.  Then I went from sleepless nights of hour long feedings every 2 hours (where they only ate like 2 oz) to little boys that hold their own bottles and finish 6 oz in 3-5 minutes. Now were entering the world of solid foods and mobility!  Bring it on!

This time last year, I was in Guatemala, leading a youth group mission trip.  I was putting tinsel in Mayan childrens' hair and painting the roof to waterproof it before the rainy season.  It is amazing how much life changes.  And it is soo wonderful!

I love my twins.  I love my husband.  I love my job.  And I love (at least most of the time) my life.

New to the world of blogging

Hello world,

So, here goes!  I'm new to the world of blogging, but I'm here to give it a try!  My goal is at least once a week, remind me if needed!!!!  Seriously!

Meet me and my family.

Me (Lindsay).   I'm a mom of twin boys, wife to a wonderful husband, education director at St. Paul's Episcopal Church, crafter, sewer, bicyclist, and so much more.

Aaron Josiah (twin A).  Aaron is Twin A.  He was the first baby born of my boys.  Born on November 6th 29 minutes before his brother.  At 5lbs, 4oz, he was the littler baby, but now he is my chunky monkey at over 17lbs!

Benjamin Richard (Twin B).  Benjamin is Twin B.  He was born second, but was the bigger baby at 5lbs, 15oz.  Now is my little skinny winny (but also rolly polly) baby boy.

Ryan (My amazing husband).  Ryan is my wonderful husband, but is also caregiver, student, AVID bicyclist, and so much more!  I love him!
